Since sunday, the Tour de France is just finished,
but we have still lot of bike in Paris
Since one year, we have a new transport in Paris, ecological and handly : the velib'
which is a rented bike
You will find bellow some pictures to explain how to use it

These is a velib' park, which is make up with bike and a little tower, which has two sides

On the first one, you will find a screen with all the details you need to rent a bike (use the n°3, to have all the explaination in foreign languages) and a credit card machine in order to pay
On the other side, you will find a map of the area : streets and the other velib' parks close to it

Please note that you will pay from the moment you take off the bike from one park to the moment you put it to an other (so don't use the bike's padlock, because you will paid for the time you have parked your bike somewhere else than a velib' park!!! : you will find the velib'park's map on the velib'website : just click on the title of my blog)

When you have pay & you have to dial the number of the bike you want, before that : check the bike (chain, tyre, saddle and the basket) everything needs to be OK, because, if you take off the bike from the park and you see that you can not use it, you have to wait before rented an other one !!!

When you have dial the number you have some minutes to go to the bike to press the round button and take off the bike

WARNING : Paris car's drivers, scooter's drivers and pedestrian are not use to have so many bike in Paris, so be aware when you do velib'

So please, use the road, stay on the right side of the road, follow the Highway code, line up, indicated what you will do, do not try to overtake a bus... Lot of people use bike and do not care about all these details, so they are some accidents.
